T T FARROW Pioneer Citizen Dies Sunday
December 26 1916

Mr T T FAROW of Dadeville Route 4, a pioneer citizen of Tallapoosa County, died 
at his home on last Sunday morning after an attack of Bronchial penumonia 
something like three weeks before his death. Mr FARROW was 86 years of age and 
had lived in Tallapoosa since childhood coming to Alabama with his parents when 
a child from Meriwether County, GA

Mr FARROW was a member of the Methodist Protestant Church. He joined the Church 
at Centerport something like 40 years ago. His interest in religion grew with 
him as he advanced in years and he made it a point frequently to discuss 
religious matters. He was also a Confederate Veteran, having served throughout 
the war.

The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs Mandy (Austin) FARROW, and five 
children, Mrs Evie WALLS, Bessemer, AL, W C FARROW, Dadesville, Rt 1, Mrs Dovie 
WALLS, Alexander City and Mrs Donie CURRY, Jackson Gap. W W FARROW is the only 
surviving brother and there is one sister in Texas

Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. CAMERON and burial was in the Sardis 
Cemetery Monday at eleven o'clock.

Speaks Springs by W. W. Selman; roll for Sep-Oct 1864 shows him absent without 
leave; since Sep 1, 1864 appears as T. F. Farrow on Register of Chimborago Hosp 
#4, Richmond VA Admitted May 6, 1863 and transferred May 11, 1863 to Lynchburg; 
no record of capture or parole; other records show Mar 16 64 granted furlough 
for 30 days by Sp O #60 Hdqr Dept of Henrico, Va
