Lineville Headlight
J. C. Karr of Pyriton, R. 2 was killed almost instantly at his home near 
Lineville Thursday by a stroke of lightning, just as he drove up to his barn gate 
to get out of the rain. Both his horses were killed by the same bolt. He was 
buried Saturday afternoon at Liberty Methodist church at Pinckneyville. He was a 
logman for a sawmill and leaves his parents, young widow and a two-month-old 
baby.
