Ashland Progress
Whereas, it has pleased the Great Architect of the universe to call from our 
midst our friend and brother, W. S. Lawhorn, who departed this life September 4, 
1928, being 72 years old. Brother Lawhorn had been a member of our Lodge, 
Weathers No. 390 for only a short time, although his stay among us has been 
short, we know him to possess that high, noble and manly trait of character 
which truly are essential to free and accepted Masons. Be it resolved that we as 
a lodge very sorrowfully mourn his loss and realize that the lodge has lost a 
true Mason. The family a kind husband and an affectionate father, and our 
community an amiable and respected citizen. Be it resolved that we as Masons 
extend to his family in their hour of sorrow, our heartfelt sympathy, which is 
characteristic of all true member of our ancient and mystic Fraternity. We also 
commend them to God in the loss we have all sustained, that by His great love, 
sorrow may be obliterated, and joys sustained. Be it further resolved that a 
copy of this be sent the bereaved family. Respectfully Submitted, J. D. A.
