The Jasper NewsBoy - no date on clipping

     Last Sunday our little town witnessed the sad and unusual spectacle of two 
funerals in one day. In the morning at half past ten o'clock the mortal remains 
of Mrs. M. L. Wilson were interred at the cemetery. Deceased was the wife of 
Mr. J. W. Wilson and they were among the old settlers of our town. For some 
time past they have been making their home with relatives in Brookeland but a 
few days ago Mrs. Wilson came down on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. F. M. 
Stewart and was taken sick. Her daughter Mrs. J. A. Y'Barbo and her brother Mr. 
Sidney Bross were here to attend the funeral. The bereaved family have the 
sympathy of a wide circle of friends and relatives in their affliction.

Additional Comments:
Mariah L. and J. W. Wilson were living in Brookeland with their daughter 
Claudia Wilson Y'Barbo. Brookeland is a small community now about 15 miles 
north of Jasper, Texas. At that time it was a very large town.
