Clay County Advance
Died Feb. 29th, 1892, at Pinckneyville Clay. Co, Ala.  Mrs. Rozella Shipp aged 66 
years. "He giveth his beloved sleep" A shadow has fallen on our village; a 
vacancy is in our heart and home. We mourn for her now, and shall mourn in the 
future, we miss her now, and shall miss her in days to come. As a friend none was 
more true and tender. She was beloved by all and was the counterpart of love. She 
now dwells where love in --ness resign. She was for years invalid, suffering 
greatly, yet patient and resigned. "Whom He loveth He chasteneth.". No eulogy can 
reach the dull cold ears of death, but we would fain say this, in memory or one 
whom we loved in life and hope to meet the land where pain and sorrow are felt no
