James Anderson & Susan Frances Brown Gamble are pictured sometime between 1900 
and 1927. James Anderson was born 24 December 1854 in Tallapoosa Co., AL near 
the community of Hackneyville. Susan Frances Brown was born in Tallapoosa Co., 
AL 13 June 1858. After marriage in October of 1876 they continued to live in 
Tallapoosa Co. in the Kelleyton area and moved to Stewartville in Coosa Co., 
AL soon after 1900. In 1913 they moved to a small farm community called Pine 
Mountain in Blount Co., AL. They lived there for the remainder of their lives. 
Susan passed away on 27 May 1927 and James Anderson died on 29 March 1929. 
They had a total of 14 children and 11 lived to adulthood.
