All of James Anderson & Susan Frances Brown Gamble's children were born in 
Tallapoosa Co., AL. Most of their children moved from Tallapoosa Co. soon 
after 1900. Several settled in a small community known as Pine Mountain in 
Blount Co., AL around 1910-1913. James Anderson and Susan Frances Brown Gamble 
are buried at Lee's Chapel Cemetery there on Pine Mountain.

This picture was taken about 1950 in the front yard of Lula Irene Gamble Bice 
and Joseph M. Bice's home on Pine Mountain. The oak grove in front of Aunt 
Irene and Uncle Joe Bice's home served as the gathering place for the Gamble 
Reunions for many years. At our last reunion (2006) it was determined the the 
James Anderson Gamble family has met for an annual reunion every year since 
1939.
