E 33 Regt Al Inf Confederate States Army March 11? 1830 Nov 23, 1906 Additional Comments: He was in the 33rd Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company E. He survived the civil war. He married Epsy Brown and they had 5 kids. Alexander (boy), Henry (boy), John T. (boy), Matty (girl) and Sarah (girl). Epsy was a Cherokee Indian. Jones E. Clayton and Epsy Brown married Oct 29, 1856 in Tallapoosa Co in Alabama. Epsy Brown was born in 1835 and she died Nov 20th 1913 of bright's disease. Epsy's parents were John L. Brown and Sarah Cauesy. They married Nov 6th 1832 in Bibb Co. Alabama. Epsy had a younger brother named John C. Brown. John is also a Cherokee Indian. He fought in the 14th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company H. He signed up in 1861, but a year later, he was Killed in Action in Richmond VA, in 1862. He dies at the battle of Gaines Mill.
