Berry are held and firmly bound unto his excellency A P. Bagby governor of this state and his successor in office in a final(?) sum of two hundred dollars for pyament of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each and every one of our heirs executors or administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 20th day of March 1841. The condition of the above obligation is sch that if there be no lawful cause why Samuel Henderson and Frances Sarah Ann Berry should not be joined together in the holy union of matrimony then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of Samuel Henderson and James M. Berry Additional Comments: Samuel and Frances were marrried March 21, 1841 by B. H. Wilson, Magistrate. James M. Berry was a brother to Frances and both were children of Thomas D. Berry and his first wife Nicey Warren. Samuel Henderson was the son of Richard and Jane Henderson. File size: 1.6 Kb
