Scott and Robert C. Craddock are held and firmly bound unto the State of Alabama, in the penal sum of Two Hundred Dollars, for which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our and each of our heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, jointly, severally and firmly, by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated this 19 day of Sept A.D. 1864[.] THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That if there be no lawful cause why B.F.[Benjamin Franklin] Scott and Catherine Baker should not be joined together in the holy union of matrimony, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
