[Marriage Bond]
The State of Alabama
Tallapoosa County.
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That we Clark Patterson and William Milam are 
held and firmly bound unto His Excellency Henry W Collier Governor of the 
State, and his successors in Office, in the penal sum of Two Hundred Dollars, 
for payment of which well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, and each and 
every of our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly 
by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated the 30th day of Nov A.D. 
One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty two[.]
THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That if there be no lawful cause 
why Clark Patterson and Mary Burnett should not be joined together in the holy 
union of matrimony, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in 
full force and virtue.

Additional Comments:
[Although the Marriage Bond is dated November 30, 1852, the marriage is 
recorded as June 30, 1852.]
