[Marriage Bond]
     Know all men by these presents that we Harrison Milliner and John 
Patterson are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency Reuben Chapman 
Governor of said State and his successors in office in the penal sum of Two 
hundred dollars for payment of which well and truly be made we bind ourselves 
and each and every of our heirs Executors or Administrators jointly and 
severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seal, and dated the 19th 
day of January A.D. 1848. The condition of this obligation is such that if 
there be no lawful cause why Harrison Milliner and Martha Wilson should not be 
joined together in the Holy union of Matrimony then this obligation to be void 
otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Signed sealed and delivered in 
presence of John Bostock.

TO ANY ORDAINED MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL, JUDGE OF THE CIRCUIT OR COUNTY COURTS, 
OR JUSTICE OF THE PEACE, IN AND FOR SAID COUNTY-Greeting:
     You are hereby authorised to celebrate the Rites of Matrimony between 
Harrison Milliner & Martha Wilson[.]
     And this shall be your sufficient authority for so doing.
     Given under my hand and seal, this 19th day of January A.D. one thousand 
eight hundred and forty-eight and of American Independence the 72nd year.
     I certify that I celebrated the Rites of Matrimony between Harrison 
Milliner & Martha Wilson on the 20 day of January A.D. 1848.
