Smith are held and firmly bound unto the state of Alabama, in the sum of $200 for which payment, well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves, our and each of our heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 18th day of December 1883. The condition of the above obligation is such, that if there be no lawful cause why D. B. Seargant and E. R. Sheppard should not be joined together in the Holy Union of Matrimony then this obligation to be void; otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
