MARRIAGE OF DANIEL RAY TO MARY WARREN 1844

The State of Alabama
Tallapoosa County
Know all men by these presents that we Daniel Ray and Joseph Stagner are held 
and firmly bound unto his Excellency Benjamin Fitzpatrick, Governor of said 
State and his successors in office in the penal sum of Two hundred dollars for 
payment of which will and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each and every 
of our heirs executors or administrators jointly and severally firmly by these 
presents.  Sealed with our seals and dated the 27th day of July A. D. 1844.
The condition of this obligation is such that if there be no lawful cause why 
Daniel Ray and Mary Warren should not be joined together in the holy union of 
Matrimony then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force 
and virtue.

To any ordained Minister of the Gospel: Judge of the County or Circuit Court or 
Justice of the Peace in and for said County, Greeting
You are hereby authorized to celebrate the Rites of Matrimony between Daniel 
Ray and Mary Warren and this shall be your sufficient authority for so doing.  
Given under my hand and seal this the 27th day of July A. D. one thousand eight 
hundred and forty four and of American Independence the 69th year.

I do certify that I celebrated the Rites of Matrimony between Daniel Ray and 
Mary Warren on the 28th day of July A. D. 1844.
