Garvin wife of John S. Garvin for the better support and maintenance of herself and the support and education of the children that she now has or may hereafter have do hereby give to the said Martha M. a certain negro boy named Robert aged about 21 years a negro girl named Susannah aged about 17 years and a negro girl named Aura aged about 13 years to have and to hold the said negroes and any increase they may have to her sole and separate use to be in no wise subject to the debts, contracts or liabilities of her present husband the said John S. Garvin or any other husband if any she may have for and during her natural life to be possessed and enjoyed by her for the uses and purposes aforesaid and at her death, I give the said negroes and their increase to her children living at her death to be equally divided between them. Robertson of said county and state party of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and four dollars and fifty cents lawful money of the United States to them duly paid before the ensealing and delivery hereof hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant and convey to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Tuscaloosa and State of Alabama and which is known and described as follows to wit, The South West quarter of Section one township twenty two Range twelve West the East half of the North West quarter of Section one Township twenty two Range twelve West and a fraction of the West half of the North East quarter of Section one Township twenty two Range twelve west containing sixty acres the fraction of the North East quarter of section four Township twenty two Range Eleven west containing fifty nine acres more or less the whole containing three hundred and fifty nine acres more or less together with all and singular the tenements heriditaments and appurtenances and all the estate title and interest of the said parties of the first part therein. And the said parties of the first part doth hereby covenant and agree with the said party of the second part that at the time of the delivery thereof the said land and hereiditaments are a part of the Separate estate of said Jane Okelly and that she is the lawful owner of the premises above granted and seized thereof in fee simple absolute and that the said parties of the first part will warrant and defend the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. Together with all and singular the tenenements heriditaments and appurtenances and all the estate title and interest of the said party of the first part therein. R.
