She was born in the State of South Carolina. Early in her life she moved to Tuscaloosa county and has lived here until her death. At the age of twenty seven she joined the Methodist Episcopal Church South, during the pastorate of Rev. John Foust and lived a beautiful, consistent christian life until her Master called her from suffering to peace and rest. The last twenty-four years of her life was spent with her niece Mrs. Caroline LaFoy and her great nephew T. D. LaFoy. During all of these twenty-four years she was only able to walk over the floor by the aid of crutches. At all times she was cheerful, patient and kind to every one and resigned to her helpless condition. She was only waiting and anxious for the summons from labor to rest. We all miss Aunt Clarissa but we know where to find her. The remains were intered in the Macedonia grave yard. Funeral services were conduced by Rev. J E G Shirley.
