My grandfather, Edwin D. Mitchell, is sixth from the left (or second in the 
back row).  This was made in Fall of 1914 as he has a note in his journal--

Went to Squaw Shoals Ala [Holt Lake & Dam Tuscaloosa Co., AL] on Lock 17 to 
work for Hardaway Contracting Company Oct. 5, 1914 Run Engine ! ! all the time 
I were there I got cutt off on account of the job being completed. I got cutt 
off at 3:30 on Dec., 23, 1914. I got 40 cts per hr. this was a u s job my 
little daughter was born the 6 of Oct while I was there. I halled the last 
concrete to lot 116 and 17 got to Fitzgerald, GA Dec. 24, 1914.
