(Barlow) Drummond of Jasper, Rt. 1, was fatally wounded Sunday in Cullman Co. when a pistol in the hands of a companion accidently discharged. Young Drummond, who lived with his parents near Sipsey, made a trip to Cullman County Sunday with Harvey Stewart, a friend. Stewart was shooting an automatic pistol and it hung up and would not automatically throw out the empty shells. While he was trying to unhang the gun a shell was accidentally discharged. The ball struck Drummond in the left part of the back and came out at the right side of the stomach having passed through the stomach. The wounded boy was brought to the Walker County Hospital here, where he died Monday. Funeral services will be held at the Drummond Cemetery near Sipsey at 2 p.m. today Rev. J. A. Manasco officiating and A.B. Legg and Sons directing. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/alfiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
