Mr. O'Rear conducted a barber shop in Jasper for many years and had many friends and no enemies. Funeral services, in charge of Dr. L.E. Barton, Rev. T.L. McDonald and Rev. J.F. Akin, were held at the First Baptist church Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. and interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery, A.B. Legg and Sons directing.Active pall bearers were Clement Swindle, Roy Kelley, George Morre, Austin Studdard, Lacy Best, Bryce Campbell, Virgil Baird and Walter Lampkin.Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Katie Trotter O'Rear; two sons, Euclid and Franklin O'Rear, and one daugher, Mrs. Wesley Rollins; one brother, two sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Charley Walker O'Rear was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah O'Rear and the youngest of a large family of children. There were eight sons and two daughters.
