The Mountain Eagle 11/4/1885

The "Reverend" John M. BARTON died at his residence on Warrior River last 
Saturday.  Mr. BARTON was one of Walkers oldest and best citizens.  His  
measure of days was well nigh four score years and he leaves besides numerous 
relatives a large circle of personal friends who loved him and specially sorrow 
at his departure from this life.
