Wilcox Progressive Era

Mr. John McDuffir, Sr. Killed
A telegram from Mr. G. G. Stallworth of Beatrice, states that Mr. John 
McDuffie, Sr., was killed on the 28th inst., by Sonny English. Sonny 
English is related to Mr. A. M. English of Mt Pleasant who has been a 
life long friend of Mr. McDuffie’s. We regret the occurrence of this 
unfortunate affair and know nothing of its circumstances, and in 
consequence can make no comment.
