Their Father had but one week before bought a place and moved to Schuster from McWilliams Station. Mr. Andrews was shot in the stomach and his wife was shot twice, once in the back and once in the head, her throat was cut and other knife wounds about her body. The evidence, as told to us, seems pretty strong against the accused, but we refrain from saying anything to further inflame the public mind, or in any way prejudice the public or mould sentiment against them through our columns, sufficient it is, to say that they are now in the hands of the law, with what is believed to be sufficient evidence to convict them, and they should have a fair and impartial hearing before the courts, and if found guilty, no punishment would be too severe to satisfy the law and wipe out the stain placed on the fair name of our county. Researchers note: In a Jan 1905 follow up article in the Wilcox Progressive Era, Jim Andrews wife was identified as "Bama Andrews."
