Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, December 12, 1907
From Capell.
Quite a stir was had among the colored population on the plantation of Mr. H. 
S. Capell's Saturday when Alex Brown colored killed Charlie McDowell colored of 
the Bigger Place. (Jealousy was the cause). Alex was lodged in jail Saturday 
night.
