Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, December 19, 1907
Mr. Rufus Brassell died on Saturday morning, Nov. 30. He was the justice of 
peace and widely known and will be sadly missed by every one. He leaves ten 
children and a kind and loving wife, who was ever faithfully at his side to 
grant his every wish, and numerous friends and relatives to mourn his death.
