Death of Little Mary Berry
  Just as we go to press the sad tidings reaches us of the death of little 
Mary, the five-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Berry, at Gastonburg, 
where the family were on a visit to the home of Mrs. Berry's father, Mr. R. J. 
Goode. The child was taken suddenly ill with croup a few days ago and in spite 
of all that medical skill and loving ones could do she grew rapidly worse until 
the end came the end came yesterday morning, Nov 4th. The interment occurs at 
Gastonburg today. Little Mary was an unusually bright and beautiful child and 
the idol of the family who have the deepest sympathy of every one in this sad 
hour of affliction.
