WILLIE CARSON, (Nee) BARNES. Men weep but angels sing and shout hosanna, and the arch angels catch up the glad refrain and the choir of heaven peals forth their glad song as the gates of the eternal city of God are thrown open to admit the spotless soul from the sin cursed earth who hastens to tread the golden streets of the new Jerusalem and fall at the feet of the blessed savior to receive from his hands the crown of eternal life, and hear the words of the Master saying, "welcome good and faithful servant, enter now into the joys prepaired for thee from the foundation of the world." Such it was on the morning of Jan. 23rd when the angel of death bid the soul of Mrs. Willie Carson take its flight to dwell forever with its God. Mrs. Carson was a member of the methodist church at Orrville; she was only twenty four years old. It seems to us her life was short, let us not say that it was incomplete; measured by its quality it was a full life. Love transfigured it and devotion to duty gave to it a high moral quality. Her affliction was of long duration yet she bore it all with christian fortitude and when the end came she was ready. Her husband having died several years ago, she was living with her parents in Gee's Bend. She leaves one child, mother and father, and one brother and other relatives to mourn her loss. May the blessings of God rest on the bereaved ones and His grace save them all in heaven! A Friend
