F. Cook. Died at Mountain Creek "Soldier's Home" on February 12th, 1907, Henry F. Cook, of Wilcox County. Mr. Cook came to Camden in 1850, as a contractor and builder, and for many years lived with Maj. Felix Tait. When the war between the states was declared, he enlisted in Co. D, 3rd Alabama Calvary, and served in that branch of service creditably until the end of the war. Mr. Cook came to Alabama from Wilimatic, Conn., and cast his fortunes with the south. He loved southern history and its traditions. He leaves many friends in Wilcox County who regret his sad, though not unexpected death, as he had past the eighty- third mile post in life's journey. He was the oldest living member of Dale Lodge, F. & A. Masons, which lodge will bury him on arrival here with Masonic honors.
