The announcement of the death of this young girl budding into lovely womanhood, is indeed sad, and its suddenness brings to her family and friends unlooked sorrow in all its withering force, she, only a few days ago was a picture of health, and her buoyant spirits and ever sunny smile, bespoke a long, happy and useful life, but alas, a few short days of sickness, and her spirit is taken to the God who gave it, and the home and hearts of her loved ones left desolate, and their heads bowed in sorrow over the unlooked for calamity that has befallen them. Fatie Sue was the daughter of James I. and Johanna Davis of Camden, and would have been 16 years old had she lived until August, her sisters Ruby from Tuscaloosa, Pearl from Castleberry, Irna from Black's Bend, were Telegraphed for, and arrived before she died. Mrs. Dubose of Atmore, another sister was not apprised of her condition, as Mr. Davis knew that her children had Measles, and knew she could not come without danger to them and feared she might attempt the trip. The sympathy of this community goes out to them in their affliction, but time alone, can heal such wounds, and lessen their grief, and may He who marks the sparrows full, have them in his care and keeping, and lessen this great sorrow that weigh's heavily on them now.
