Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, August 2, 1906 Resolutions of Repect. Hall of Dale Lodge No. 25 F. & A. M.} Camden, Ala., July 12, 1906.} Whereas it has pleased an all wise God, to remove from the world, the soul of our deceased brother, Reginald H. Dawson who departed this life at Littleton, Jefferson County, on the 11th day of July, 1906, and whereas brother Dawson has been for a number of years a member of this lodge; therefore be it resolved - 1st. That Reginald H. Dawson during his residence with us was a good lawyer, a patriotic citizen and always been true and loyal to his friends, and in consequence thereof he linked them to him with hooks of steel. 2nd. Resolved that during the many years, Brother Dawson was President of the Convict Board of this State. We as a Lodge were proud of the fine record he made, as a just kind humane and zealous officer, who by the reforms he made in the government of the convicts, clearly showed that he was fully embued with the teachings and doctrines of true Masonry. 3rd. Resolved that Brother R. H. Dawson was a man of whom it can be truly said: "That take him all, in all, we shall not see his like again." 4th. Resolved that the Secretary of this Lodge shall reserve a page on the minutes of the Lodge inscribed with the name of our deceased brother as a slight testimonial of our love and appreciation of the many virtues and good qualities of deceased brother. Resolved further that these resolutions be published in our county papers, and a copy sent to the family of our deceased brother. E. N. Jones, S. D. Bloch, David McIntosh, Committee.
