On Saturday night, 8 o'clock, May the 28th, the spirit of Mrs. J. P. Ezelle passed from this earth to that beautiful home beyond the skies. She was before her marriage Miss Gertrude Skinner of Carlowville, Ala. She was sick only a short while and her death came quite unexpectedly. She leaves a husband, and four little children and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss. It is hard, so hard to give up our loved ones, but what a comfort to know that though they cannot come back to us, we can go to them. Bereaved ones, it is hard to give up such a dear good wife, mother, and sister, but just think today, she is an angel in heaven, with the two little ones Arthur and Annie who have gone on before; and now they are standing with beckoning hand, waiting for the loved ones here. She was ever patient during her suffering, and spoke freely of her death. The family has lost from its chain a link that can only be united by the Comforter of broken hearts. "Sister," thou was mild and lovely, Gentle as the summer breeze Peaceful be thy silent slumber; Thou, no more, will join our number, Dearest sister, thou has left us, Here thy loss, we deeply feel, But, 'tis God, who hath bereft us He can all our sorrows heal. Again we hope to meet you, When the cares of life have fled Then in heaven with joy to greet you Where no farewell tear is shed."
