One by one, the old land marks of the county, are leaving us, for their Heavenly Rest. On last Friday morning, Mr. E. S. Farish, Senior, died at his home in Mims Beat, of old age. At the time of his death, Mr. Farish was 79 years old. He was a quiet good citizen, and a member of the Methodist Church. He was buried at Mt. Carmel cemetery. Mr. Farish was a member of Co. D, Third Alabama Calvary, Gen Joseph Wheeler's corps. His first wife was Miss Davis. His second wife was Miss Cannon and his third wife who was a Miss McMurphy survives him. His surviving children, are Robt. I., E. S. No. 2, Thomas B., James H., H. J., George, and Frank and Mrs. Eliza Reeves, Misses Sallie, Eugenia, Leila, Jennie, Mary, and Annie. Two sisters are still living and his nephews are Dr. W. C. Farish and Mr. E. S. Farish, Jr., No. 1. Peace to his remains.
