Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, December 24, 1903

Dr. B. O. Holman.
  Died Saturday night at 10 o'clock at the home of his father, 
Mr. J. B. Holman near Camden, Dr. Burette O. Holman, age 23 years.
He had just arrived at man's estate, was well equipped for life's 
battle, having graduated in dentistry two years since, but his health 
failed, and he has spent much time in seeking a climate and 
surroundings that would improve his health, but as in many cases our 
calculations fall short of our wishes, and he returned home only a 
short time before his death, and as it was inevitable it should be a 
comfort to his family that he arrived in time for them to administer 
to his last days, and be with him when the end came. We extend to his 
family our sympathy in their sad bereavement. The large gathering at 
the Cemetery on such short notice, evidences the general feeling of 
sorrow in this community.
