HUNTER. Edward V. Hunter, 55 years of age, died in New Orleans yesterday. Deceased formerly resided in this city, where he was highly regarded, and the remains will be brought here for interment today. On Jan 7, 1903, the wife of deceased died at Coden, in this county. They are survived by two children, Misses Emmie and Carrie Hunter, and other relatives of Mr. Hunter living are his mother, resident in this city; John S. Hunter of Camden, and B. Vassar Hunter, of Mobile, brothers; Mrs. Mary H. O'Rouke, Mrs. Anna Lyon and Miss Sallie Hunter, all of Mobile, sisters. -- Mobile Register of Sunday. Pallbearers -- Messrs. Murray Wheeler, D. R. Burges, L. De V. Chaudron, Pat Lyons, Dr. Richard Inge, Mr. Greg L. Smith. Mr. Hunter has been for many years, connected with prominent Cotton Houses both in Mobile and New Orleans, and his life has been one devotion to duty and family, he was ever considerate of others. The grandest eulogy that could be given to man was paid him by his father who has proceeded him to the great beyond, when the evening shadows of life, was gathering around him, he called this son to him, and said: "In all your life you have never given me one moments uneasiness or worry save in sickness, what more could be said to brighten the paths or strengthen man's hope what assurance more than this could be saught to deserve the comforting words, well done, when the end came."
