F. Irby. Mr. James F. Irby died yesterday afternoon at his home on St. Francis Street, after an illness of only a few days. He was a valued employee of the D. R. Dunlap Mercantile Company, having represented them on the road for many years. He was highly respected as a business man, and was known to possess all the qualities of a high toned Christian gentleman. His death will be a source of regret to his many friends throughout the entire state, especially in that territory with which he has been so long identified. His remains have been taken to the residence of Mr. D. W. Burgett, 777 Montauk Avenue. - Mobile Register of 10th. Wherever known best, Jim Irby's death will be regretted most. He was a man of sterling integrity. He was rigidly honest in thought and action. No man had truer friends than he did. The admirable traits of character shown in the general walks of life, won for him, the respect and confidence of his fellow-man. Mr. Irby was from this county, and lived here from his childhood days, until he cast his lot with the commercial interests of the Gulf City. He leaves a brother and other relatives in this county who together with many warm friends moan his death, and sympathize with his bereaved family. The reward promised to those who are faithful to the end, will be his.
