Mr. Jackson had been a sufferer of tuberculosis for some time, and about two months ago went to Waynesville in a hope that the change of climate would benefit his health, but the disease had secured too firm a hold. His faithful wife was with him when the end came. His remains were brought to Carlowville and laid to rest in the family burial grounds. A good man gone! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mr. Jackson was well and favorably known in Wilcox, Dallas and Marengo Counties. He was a good man in all that is implied in that phrase. True to himself and friends. Kind and affectionate in his home life, and his many friends deeply sympathize with his family, on whom this blow falls with all its withering force.
