B. McMillan Dead. Died in Knoxville Tennessee on Sunday Sept. 23, 1906, Thomas B. McMillan aged about seventy-five. Mr. McMillan was born and raised in our county and for a number of years he was the Efficient Clerk of our Circuit Court, after his term of office as Clerk was over, he engaged in the mercantile business in the town and continued in this business until his removal to Knoxville, Tennessee about twelve years ago. Mr. McMillan in early life married Miss Anderson, daughter of Gen. Anderson who represented for a long time the State of Tennessee in the United States Senate, he was the father of our townsman A. V. McMillan and David B. McMillan and Miss Lorine McMillan who now lives with their mother in Knoxville, Tenn. Mr. McMillan was always noted for his kind and gentle disposition, and for his great integrity and honestly, he was faithful and true in every relation of life, a good husband, a kind father, a true citizen, a just and God fearing man and we are satisfied that he has entered into his reward. A better man never lived or died. His family have the heartfelt sympathy of our entire community.
