Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, September 28, 1905

Died in Canton on Sunday, Sept. 24th, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. 
Ross, aged three years and three months. She was a dear child and 
beloved daughter. All loved her but God loved her best. He only gave 
her to us for a little while to brighten our home, a little flower and 
dear darling, but she has gone to that happy home above where she 
shall never know any more sorrow or pain, and she shall be there to 
welcome home the beloved ones that gave her up in the hands of 
Almighty God. Then they know she shall be blessed and crowned with 
happiness and love for ever more. Good bye darling Leona until we meet 
again. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
