J. E. Summerholder, who a number of years ago, lived in Camden, but for the past several years residing at Bay Minette, until about a year ago when he moved to Jackson, Ala., died on the 5th, inst., at the latter place. It is said that he was a hermit, and for a long time had subsisted on rice and canned goods and his death was caused by the ptomain poisoning. He resided in the rear end of a store and did his own cooking. He came to Camden when a young man, and resided here for a number of years during which time he married. He is survived by two sons, who can not be located. He was buried in the Jackson cemetery.
