Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, June 11, 1908
Death of Obsorne Steele.
  The friends of Mr. J. Osborne Steele will learn of his death with much 
regret. He died at the home of his kinsman, Mr. J. M. Staggers, of Benton, on 
June 1st, after several months' suffering, and was buried at the Benton 
cemetery afterwards. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Steele, former 
residents of Canton Bend, but now of Mobile.
