Sallie Carolyn Weir was called to Heaven, March 29th, 1904. She often spoke of dying as only changing worlds: "And Jesus called a little child unto Him," so now while earth is full of the sweetness and bloom of Easter-tide, one of our fairest blossoms has been plucked for the Master's use, and dear little Sallie has passed from death unto life- eternal. She was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Weir of Gastonburg, and though but four and a half years old, had so endeared herself to all with whom she had come in contact, that many hearts will ache in sympathy with those loving ones of her own household. Little Sallie was always a most remarkable child, so loving, bright and happy-hearted, and wise beyond her years. - Although a great sufferer for more than a year she has endured the pain, and borne the cross that was placed upon her baby's shoulders with a fortitude and unmurmuring resignation, that would shame many an aged Christian. It is not ours to question Divine Love. We know our golden-haired darling is "Safe on His gentle breast" and believe, "It is well with the child."
