K. Williams G. K. Williams, a well known citizen of Montgomery county, died at 8 o'clock yesterday morning at his home twenty-one miles south of Montgomery, near Davenport. Mr. Williams had been in declining health for two years, but paralysis was the immediate cause of his death. He was 70 years old and had been a resident of Montgomery county for thirty years. He had many warm friends both in the city and in the county. Mr. Williams was a Confederate soldier and bore the title of captain. He was born in North Carolina and resided in that state when the civil war began. He was made captain of a company which went on the field of battle. The deceased is survived by a wife, four sons and two daughters. The funeral takes place today from the family home. The interment will be made in Hickory Grove Cemetery. - Montgomery Journal of Nov. 21st Mr. Williams was the father of Mr. G. K. Williams who is our Methodist minister here, and we join with the Camden people in extending sympathy to him in his sad bereavement.
