Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, August 1, 1907
We regret to chronicle the death of little John Watson, the ten months old son 
of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Watson, which took place on July 28th, after an illness 
of five weeks. It seemed from the beginning that the little sufferer had been 
called to his celestial home, as it seemed his mission on this earth had been 
fulfilled. The attending physician did everything known to medical science to 
alleviate the little fellow's sufferings, with no avail, beside the tender care 
and love of parents and others. We, as a community, extend to our bereaved 
friends and neighbors, our heartfelt sympathy during their hours of affliction, 
and can only point them to the "One who doeth all things well."
