Miss Lillie M. Young Passes Away After Several Weeks' Illness. Our community was greatly saddened by the death of Miss Lillie Margaret Young which occurred here Saturday morning. She was the daughter of Mr. Calvin Young, Sr., one of the best known citizens of Dallas county. Miss Young had been engaged for the past year as a teacher in the Camden Institute. For the past six weeks she had been sick with Pneumonia which resulted in her death Saturday morning. Miss Young was very popular with her associates in the school. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, and active in church and Sunday School work. Hers was indeed a lovely character, and she possessed many endearing qualities that made her a general favorite. In the morning of her life God saw fit to transplant this young flower from earth to Heaven leaving an aching void in the hearts of her loved ones. The remains were carried to the home of her father at Sardis, about six miles south of Selma. The funeral occurred there at 10 o'clock Sunday morning.
