The wedding bells have been heard in our midst, pealing forth the joy of young hearts made happy. There was a quiet but beautiful marriage at the hospitable home of Mr. W. M. Fitzgerald of Allenton, Ala., on the 12th of October, at 3:30 p.m., when his daughter Rose, one of the most popular, charming, amiable, christian young ladies became the bride of Mr. Claude T. Luckie of Lybil, Ala. The wedding party entered the parlor in the following order: Miss Rubye Fitzgerald with Mr. Walter Kendrick and Miss Pearle Fitzgerald with Mr. Iva Adams. The bridal party stood under a large bell of evergreens and white roses suspended from the ceiling. Miss Pearl Powell of Ackerville, Ala., presided at the organ, rendering a soft and beautiful wedding march. Rev. D. P. Lee officiated, using words that were tender and true to the marriage vow. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white organdy, trimmed in lace and hand-work and carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaids were gowned in pink mull. The groom and groomsmen were suitably attired in evening dress. The happy couple were recipients of many beautiful presents. Mr. and Mrs. Luckie left the following morning for Lybil, Ala., where a reception was given by the parents of the groom.
