Mobile Register of 18th. Yesterday just before high noon when the sun was shining its brightest, a pretty picture was developed in the parlor of the home of Mr. and Mrs. K. A. Mayer, on Conception Street, when in a bower of white chrysanthemums and palms, their only daughter, Mrs. Mabel Mayer Moore, became the wife of Mr. Thomas P. Johnston, of Sylacauga, Ala., Rev. A. F. Carr performing the ceremony. The wedding was a very quiet one, and was witnessed only by about fourteen guests, including a few relatives and friends. The handsome brunette bride was most tastefully gowned in a dress of brown velvet with which she wore a brown hat trimmed with brown velvet morning glories and carried a bouquet of Marechal Neil roses. From the home the bride and groom and their guests, Mr. Goodwin and Mr. White of Sylacauga, Dr. K. A. Mayer, Mr. W. J. and Dannie Mayer, Mr. L. W. Alridge, Mr. John Wilson and two daughters, Misses Annie Marshall and Rossie Wilson, and Dr. John Wilson, repaired to the Cawthon hotel, where they enjoyed a wedding feast previous to the departure of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson on the noon train for Sylacauga, Ala., their future home, where Mr. Johnston is a successful merchant.
