Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, March 5, 1908
Deer--Strother.
  Mr. E. Deer of Franklin, Monroe County, and Miss Sallie Strother were united 
in marriage Wednesday afternoon, Feb 26th at the home of the bride's mother at 
Canton Bend. The happy couple left immediately after the ceremony for the 
Cresent City, where they will take in the Mardi Gras festivities. On their 
return they will go to housekeeping at Franklin.
