The marriage of Mary Jones, the daughter of Dr. C. C. Jones, of Underwood avenue, East Lake, and Mr. James E. Parker, took place last Thursday evening at the residence of the bride's father. Only a few friends and the members of the family witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. J. M. Shelburne, pastor of the East Lake Baptist Church. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Parker left for the bridal journey. They will visit Washington and several other Eastern cities. After June 15 they will be at home at Twelfth avenue and thirtieth street, Norwood. Mrs. Parker is a daughter of Dr. C. C. Jones, formerly president of the Alabama Medical Society, and a member of the Howard College faculty. She is a young woman of many rare accomplishments. Mr. Parker is the eldest son of Police Commissioner Thomas F. Parker and is connected with the engineering corps of the Seaboard Air Line Railroad. - B'ham Ledger of 26th.
