Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, January 17, 1907
GORDON - HOOKS.
  On January the 23rd Mr. Robert E. Gordon will lead to the alter, Miss Lucy 
Hooks of Mobile. The wedding will be a quiet home affair, owing to a recent 
death in the brides family. Mr. Gordon is a young lawyer of promise, has many 
friends in Alabama and particularly in Wilcox the county of his birth. The 
bride is a charming young woman of good family and we predict a happy and 
prosperous future for them and hope that time will deal gently with them, and 
that each anniversary of this happy event will continue as bright and as joyous 
as the beginning promises now.
