Wilcox Progressive Era, Thursday, March 28, 1907
  Quite a large crowd was attracted to the court house Friday last when Judge 
Johnathan N. Stanford said the solemn words that hitched "Jimmy" Bonner for 
life to Georgiana Grandison. The contracting parties are among Camden's colored 
400. Judge Stanford has made good so far in his new position as probate judge, 
but was a little dubious as to his ability to get through the matrimonial 
business all right and had been coached several days by Clerk Jones who stood 
near by to help out in case of any slip up. The Judge however proved fully 
equal to the occasion and the ceremony was a grand success, even that portion 
where the groom saluted the bride and which sounded like the report of a 
Christmas fire cracker.
