On the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. the twenty-first, a very pretty wedding occurred, when Miss Clara Davis and Mr. William Edward Cook were united in marriage at the home of the bride in Calhoun, Ga. The parlor was made most attractive with its decorations of palms and roses. Promptly at four o'clock, the bridal party entered. The bride, prettily attired in an exquisite gown of champagne voile over taffeta with shoes and gloves to match and carrying a handsome bouquet of bride's roses looked most charming. Miss Kem Davis, sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor and wore a handsome gown of net over silk. The groom entered with his best man, Mr. Glenn Davis, brother of the bride, who is a popular business young man of Athens, Ga. Rev. Frank Quillian, with a few impressive words, performed the ceremony, immediately after which the happy pair left for Camden, the home of the groom. The bride is one of Calhoun's most popular young ladies and during her recent stay here in the employment of The Ladies' Supply House made many friends, who welcome her back. The groom is a rising business young man of this place, being proprietor of The Ladies' Supply House, one of Camden's leading business establishments. The Era wishes this young couple much joy and happiness along life's pathway.
